BHASVIC TV
During my time at BHASVIC sixth form college, I participated in BHASVIC TV, an extracurrlicular course that allowed me to develop and explore my film making skills. At BHASVIC TV, we made short documentaries about events happening at the college and factual videos about college campaigns. Over the course of a year I helped to produce, film and edit short factual programmes that were well received and appreciated by the college and my peers. Being involved in BHASVIC TV meant that we needed to be independent filmmakers, with our duties including contacting various personnel around college ourselves to film. For example, when making a short factual programme on 'The Five Ways to Wellbeing', I was in charge of arranging interviews with the head of the campaign within college, and organising filming sessions with a mindfulness class and the girl's basketball team. This was the first taste of life as an independent filmmaker, as I was able to independently make decisions about a project and confidently say that my work was my own. As well as 'Five Ways to Wellbeing', I worked on other projects including short factual programmes of BHASVIC's open evening 2016 and the Careers Fair 2016.
